More of the same, getting all the raised beds filled with our mountain of imported topsoil. As good as the stuff is, it still needs to be sifted to get out as many rocks as possible. Farmboy made an awesome screen using 1/2″ hardware cloth and it works great. We had started with 1/4″ cloth, but it was too slow-going so we’ll have to deal with a few pebbles. Planted some more potato slips, these went into the row crops.
Then it started raining. And raining. And raining some more. I mean like a full blast faucet dropping down from above. For hours. It even hailed. Fortunately nothing perished and I think the saturation came just at the right time.
