Week on the Farm: 3/19/17

A fairly quiet week, but a monumental one as seemingly overnight the House Garden reappeared after having been completely covered with snow for the past four months. I see dirt there, and raised beds too! It’s been a really long winter and everyone’s about ready to get outside and do something.

Seedlings are coming along nicely. We have onions, tomatoes & peppers growing and today seeded our first batch of lettuces, kale, spinach, and scallions. All of this has taken up 8 seedling flats and I’m about ready to expand to our second set of shelves & lights.

The Cooler Room is undergoing finishing touches and storage shelves. Once completely done I’ll write a final post listing all the materials and costs for this DIY 8×8′ walk-in cooler.
